This is like, the greatedt movie ever made. Ok, that's a bit hyperbolic, but it seriously is one of the greatest romcoms ever made, one of the most underrated ever too.
I guess it's underrated cause it isn't really a romcom, it's just a rom, nothing's truly funny about Julia Roberts desperately attempting to break of Cameron Diaz's wedding, and the movie is aware of it.
There's a great balance between it being comical, and the movie acknowledging that what's going on isn't okay.
This could have been a really wacky funny over the top comedy, but i'm glad it instead is a rather tragic story about how two people could have shared their lives with each other in another time and place, but right here and now they only share lingering looks.
Maybe another time, maybe another place.
An absolute masterpiece for sure.
