Night School is the incredible story of Teddy, who never graduated high school because he has a number of learning problems. Malcolm D. Lee follows up the enormously financially successful Girls Trip with the placid and antic Night School. Tiffany Haddish, the breakout star of Girls Trip, stretches her range to an impressive tilt. Haddish not necessarily extending her dramatic range or exceeding expectations does undoubtedly putt forth a competent performance. Hart, on the other hand, is becoming slowly, yet surely, drowned within his strangulation of insufficient evolution of range. Perhaps a meteoric gig as host of an awards show would showcase his prowess and range as a performer....oh wait, nevermind.

Kinda surprised how good this was. I mean, it wasn’t good, it almost put me to sleep with how boring it was at certain points, but the upside was the acting and comedy. Kevin Hart shows why he’s the funniest man alive, great supporting cast for a comedy movie and Tiffany Haddish redeems her horrible performance from Uncle Drew.

I really wasn't into this movie for the first half. Scenes went on way too long, a lot of jokes fell flat and I just didn't think the film took advantage of its fun premise. Thankfully the second half really won me over and made for a really funny and surprisingly very sweet and heartfelt film. The entire cast really do crush it too. I thought I was getting tired of Haddish already but this movie makes me want to see so much more of her.

Take a shot every time the score forces some generic as hell "funky" wakka-wakka slide guitar background music into a scene, to remind you that you’re watching a goofy comedy and you should be laughing. Even though you’re not.
Tiffany Hadish was the main redeeming factor in this movie, bringing her uncanny way of delivery lines filled with wit and confidence. I enjoyed the overall cast and some of the soundtrack was really good too to be honest. But, overall, it's just a bit bleeeeeh
I’d say this one falls under the category of “Watch this one when it’s the best thing they are playing on TV”. Because that’s just about how I came across it after watching Zombieland.
Tiffany Haddish knows best though...just OKAY is not okay.
been meaning to watch this movie when it came out on netflix for a while now and finally had the chance to. it is hilarious in so many ways with good casting. watched it from the middle so it was a bit confusing, so i suggest you don't watch it halfway otherwise you won't really understand why teddy goes to night school, even if that is essentially the plot of the movie.
the storyline is cheesy and even if you think teddy would pass but turns out he doesn't, he still borderline passes anyways and it just comes to show that it has a happy ending, therefore, a very typical hollywood ending.
the one-liners are what makes this movie stand out. since most of them are comedians, i bet you most of their dialogues were improvised. the Christian chicken scene is probably one of the funniest scenes ever. therefore, without it's humor, this movie is just meh.
overall grade: C+
