The plot, for what it's worth, involves a girl going to college in New York. Oh, and when she was little she watched her older sister get brutally murdered. So, now as a young adult, she's agoraphobic. Which makes her decision to go to school in NYC fairly perplexing. The acting wasn't horrible and the casting was good in that the kids all looked like the ages the characters would be. The problems lie in the story and the overall package. Weak plot points, uninspired kills and a reveal of the killer which came as no surprise. There's a ton of slasher movies out there to choose from and there's nothing about "Red Hook" that says "Look at me instead of those other films". As such, you aren't missing anything by missing this thing.
