I can't rate this because my viewing experience really wasn't adequate. The theater I sat in provided no subtitles for whatever reason, so during the long exchanges in Russian that were obviously vital to the story and character development, I had no idea what was going on and therefore understood very little of what was essentially the heart of the film.
The movie sports impressive visual effects and the gorgeous film photography does the period sets and picturesque Cuban locations justice. It's also presents conflicts in political opinion between several of the characters, which I appreciated even if it's clear who the movie favors. A total of three languages are spoken, and I really wish I could've understood more than just two-thirds of the dialogue to properly enjoy it since it's unlikely I'll be able to see it again.
