Words to begin talking about the experience that I have had with Serial Experiments Lain, the brilliant miniseries from Ryutaro Nakamura are so difficult to come up with on the spot, other than simply stating the obvious, it was a beautiful experience that I surely am never to forget in a long while. I’ve existed on the internet for most of my living memory. It’s an essential part of my life and always has been. However, I do think that at some point there was a shift. How does that change the structure of society and communication, etc.. such a confusing, yet brilliant anime. amazing foreshadowing of the world we live in now is the cherry on top to some great animation that hasn't aged poorly, great voice acting and a story that draws you in even when you don't know what's happening. the first 4 and last 2 episodes are great, everything else feels less memorable but I still view it as positive for the most part.
