Sisu while not incredibly inventive manages to satisfy the bloodlust all gore hounds crave.
Somewhere between a Tarantino flick and a cartoon, Sisu delivers a completely bonkers experience and calls for the suspension of all disbelief. That aside, the sleek, beautifully shot and incredibly gruesome film by Jalmari Helander manages to fly by at a breakneck pace, while keeping action aficionados thoroughly entertained. The story is simple and the dialogue minimal but it accomplishes what it set out to do. Present a kick ass protagonist, kicking ass.
So, if you’re in the mood for some over the top violence that only a one man army can provide, then Sisu is the movie for you.
A “they pissed off the wrong guy” movie so pure and simple that its sub-genre almost doubles as a plot synopsis, Jalmari Helander’s “Sisu” is basically what might happen if someone transplanted “Fury Road” into Finland, lost 90 percent of what made that film into an unrepeatable force of nature, and tried to make up the difference by exploding as many Nazis as possible in outrageously violent fashion.
If you think that sounds like a decent trade-off for 91 minutes’ worth of brainless midnight fun, then I’ve got some good news for you: “Sisu” does exactly what it says on the tin.
Straightforward and unpretentious to the point that its hero doesn’t isn’t even afforded dialogue — let alone a…
Camp
adjective
1. deliberately exaggerated and theatrical in style, typically for humorous effect.
"the movie seems more camp than shocking or gruesome…but it was also a little shocking”
bro did allat for some GOLD I do that everyday for a honey bun 💯🔥🙏 we r not da same
bro is a SISSY ima SISU 💯💯💯
Sisu requires a positive exercise of will; it’s a muscle you exercise.
Well, that's one hell of an inglourious bastard.
Damn this movie rips! A 90 minute pulpy pure genre flick chock full of nazi killing goodness. Imagine Lt Aldo Raine retired to Finland to do some prospect’n and instead struck Nazi killing gold. It’s a bloody, brutal but immensely satisfying romp. Check this out with a crowd and I think you’ll have a blast.

I'm a big fan of films where an old silent protagonist kills nazis by stabbing them in the head, blowing them up, and shooting them in the face. SISU is that for 90 minutes.
With a lean storyline and minimal dialogues, this slow burn historical action movie is driven by its sleek execution and bloody brutal violence. Jorma Tommila as Aatami is the one man army nightmare for Nazis and your indestructible The man, The myth, The legend. Is it ridiculous, yes. But one wildly entertaining ride too.

Some good gore and gags and Jorma Tommila is great, but it’s a bit too silly and slow for how middling the action is. Sometimes felt more Violent Night than John Wick. Good streaming movie!
