I literally only watched this for Traci Dinwiddie aka Thunderbird Dinwiddie ❤️🔥 I swear she’s hot 🥵 in everything or I’m just hella gay for her idk 🤷🏻♀️ but anyways this was actually pretty good. It was one of those sad drama movies but it had good intentions I think. About love loss and death. Learning to grieve and move on with (stuff) or you’ll get stuck in the process and nearly lose everything. Gosh it was a bitter sweet ending 😩😢💔 overall I really enjoyed this. Most people might think it’s boring & pointless but I suppose it would be the way you look at things & stuff 😉 gosh I wish Traci was in more movies 😤
Film #38 among my 52 Films by Women 2017
There's no reason why lesbian marriages shouldn't face the same challenges and stresses as heterosexual or gay unions. Writer-director Suzanne Guacci sets out to show us exactly how that happens in this, her first full-length non-documentary film. The focus is on Deb and Trish Murdoch (Yvonne Jung & Karen Sillas), a couple who have been happy together in Sayville, Long Island, for 14 years and are raising two daughters, Suzie and Samantha (Maya Guacci & Brianna Scudiero).
Trish is a dentist, very involved in building her practice and concerned about her widowed mother Ginger (Phyllis Somerville), who's 80 years old and not making good decisions. Her emotional and physical unavailability has been bothering…
This was just.... okay? Idk I had low expectations and still didn't like it so yikes
The things I sit through for lesbian content smh
Good build-up and chemistry between Deb and Jamie but there were a few scenes towards the end that triggered me and the conclusion felt rushed.
I cringed (and maybe laughed a little) everytime they incorporated the movie title in the dialogues.
ah... so this is what they mean when they say most lesbian movies aren't that good
It's not terrible but it feels so drawn out in that "this meeting should have been an email" sort of way.
This wasn't that great. This was filmed on Long Island and well since that's where I reside I thought that was cool.
I am a sucker for streaming sites that have a LGBTQ+ section.
Been wanting to watch more of these smaller indies that are made on true nothing budgets, not just a couple mil. All movies can inspire me, but I think it's the ones where they're logistically more attainable have been most affective as of late. I think it mostly just speaks to the part of me that feels my world caving in on me for film budgets and all that. Let's me know I can do it.
As for the actual film, it has strong ideas and moments, but I don't think it could really escape it's more cliche and melodramatic aspects.
