I was never popular in high school, so I get where these movies are coming from. Personally, I fall more on the side of being seduced by a demonic mirror and enacting supernatural revenge. Using vague magic powers to make people like me had never crossed my mind.
I know this movie has a cult following and all, but I thought that was just okay. It just felt like a cacophony of random pop culture stuff. The medium from Poltergeist, the douchebag from Son in Law, Mrs. Krabapple with a terrible perm, copious amounts of terrible white rapping, the second Darrin from Bewitched, a disgusting shit boy and a girl cosplaying Blossom. It's all just so much. I did find the movie very entertaining, but I suppose my enjoyment of the movie was more ironic than anything.
