办公室大狂杀, O experimento Belko, Das Belko Experiment, The Belko Experiment: Chi sopravviverà?
didn't utilize NEARLY enough average office supplies for murderous purposes, but still fun
Gunn: Dude! I've got a new script ready!
Studio exec: Cool! Let's have it!
hands over a scribbled on napkin
Gunn: There you go!
Studio exec: What's this?
Gunn: Script! Scripteroony!
Studio exec: This isn't a script. It's a premise.
Gunn: Semantics dude!
Studio exec: But there are no characters! There's no plot! There are no arcs! There's no logical transition to validate all the gratuitous violence!
Gunn: We'll wing it!
Studio exec: But but it's just people in a building killing each other!
Gunn: I'll throw in the odd joke to keep everyone happy!
Studio exec: Mr. Gunn, we can't do this. We need a real script!
Gunn: Duuuuuuuude! Guardians of the Galaxy!
Studio exec: When can we start?
Battle Royale meets The Office.
I was shocked when I realized I was over halfway through the James Gunn written and Greg McLean directed, The Belko Experiment. Not much had occurred, the action was limited and I didn't see a lot of character development. Was this some kind of joke? Thankfully, the shit finally hits the fan, and the fun doesn't stop until the end credits roll.
This is the type of action I like. Bloody served with a side of humor. I also like the practical effects. Some scenes aren't for the faint of heart. Both McLean and Gunn appreciate old school filmmaking, and it shows in both the direction and the writing, respectfully.

A bloody good time. Exploding heads. Axes to the face. Molotov cocktails. Saying this is violent would be an understatement. It's pretty much Battle Royale in an office building.
Just another day at the office :D
U look at me and go ava haha did you like the belko experiment (2017)?
I look back at u and tears roll down my face just like they did when john Gallagher jr plead for the gun while the Spanish version of the mamas and papas started playing and then I say "yes I did like the belko experiment (2017)" :-) why would I not love my sweet white peoplepeoplepeople battle royale?
This movie sucks so much but it's violent for the sake of violence so I was on cloud nine and I love Green Day and I love john Gallagher jr and I want to fuck the white visuals contrasting with the blood and sometimes they did red lighting mmmmmhm baby! :-/
lmao idk what ya'll wanted from this but an exploitation take on Office Space is fun as hell imo... sucks mclean is mostly anonymous here, the practical gore owns tho, makes me wish gunn could go back to doing shit like this and Slither instead of marvel movies tbh.
It's just simply The Purge in a building with SAW and Escape Room vibes y'all. That's all. And it's also reminds me of battle royale but in an office setting with adults lol.
"By the end of the day, peeps are out for themselves".
"In two hours we want thirty of you dead. If thirty of you are not dead, we will end sixty of your lives ourselves. Five, four, three, two, one. Begin." - The Voice,
In real like Michael Rooker would kill every actor in this film.
What would you do if you were instructed to kill 2 people within 30 minutes or 4 people would randomly be killed and there was no way to avoid one of those two things happening? That is the basis of the Belko Experiment, a film where the American workers at a company in Colombia are forced to kill each other off until a final survivor remains. The film details the moral cliques that would form…

me at work on Monday morning as i'm frantically hiding all the cellotape dispensers: oh my weekend was great thanks! super relaxed, how about yourself?
Honestly expected worse, ending was shit, but in the middle of the film itself, it is actually somewhat enjoyable/engaging for a first time viewing
This movie really exceeded my expectations, I think I have an unpopular opinion because most reviews I’ve seen weren’t really impressed by it. But I feel that I got what I was looking for, it was a good looking movie, pretty clean and polished but also with the right amount of gore, I wasn’t bored at all and didn’t skip scenes which surprised me since some say that this film drags on. I found it to be very eventful and engaging. The end was a pretty satisfying twist, it leaves it open, they could have made a type of "Saw" franchise out of this, I’m surprised they didn’t. Lesson learned, don’t take reviews too seriously, for some it’s not their cup of tea but that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t enjoy it. Cheers.
Could have been a good movie, but just wasting our time. I may be wrong, but I sense a producer's hand destroying it's potential...
i hate john gallagher jr for making me watch his scary movies idc i'm such a pussy but he's sexy
This had a lot of potential but falls short in a few areas. For starters, the ending is so uninspired. Basically everything after there's a winner of the experiment just screams "we ran out of ideas". There's nothing satisfying about it, and it doesn't put what we saw into any sort of context outside of "experiment".
Creativity seems to be the big issue. On top of the end, the entire commentary on corporate structure and what not is pretty on-the-nose. The best part was probably the new girl doing everything she could to go unnoticed throughout, but everything else was standard (Old people are useless in the workplace! The boss is ruthless! The boss has lackeys!)
Having said all of that, it's still a solidly entertaining movie. It's brisk, there's some good death scenes (although very few lacking office supplies), and that's really all you want out of something like this.
Pretty fun if you are looking to turn off your brain for a few hours. The plot doesn’t get complicated, as these kinds of movies sometimes like to do.
Pretty straightforward murder and mayhem.
