A brilliant story marred by TV-movie levels of production, The Man from Earth, classic sci-fi writer, Jerome Bixby’s final salute, is an interesting film.
With themes of science, religion, history, myth, and legend all intertwined to a thought-provoking 90-minute space perfectly, the writing here is extraordinary. It’s so interesting, engrossing, engaging, mesmerizing how everything works together, framed brilliantly by an impromptu goodbye gathering amongst various professors/colleagues. If only the production was as absorbing.
