2015 ‘경성학교: 사라진 소녀들’ Directed by Lee Hae-young
A sickly girl Ju-ran transfers to a new sanitorium boarding school to regain health. But she discovers that students are disappearing and notices abnormal changes happening to her body. She suspects the school for what's happening and tries to discover what secret is hidden.

not gay enough but just spooky enough for my tastes, although the resolution does leave some plot threads dangling and the finale loses some of the momentum built up by the film's deliciously gothic atmosphere.
Spooky girls boarding school. Or so it may seem. I liked the general idea, though I'm not 100% thrilled about how they handled the big twist. But Gyeongseonghakyoo: Sarajin Sonyeodeul [The Silenced] (2015) is a stylish production with some likable characters. Becomes almost too glamorous in delivering it's lunacy, but that the art they chose.

Set during the time in which Korea was under a Japanese regime, the message of the film is loud and clear, as it criticizes Japanese imperialism and paints a picture of suffering and desperation, all with some sci-fi and supernatural elements that make this an unusual but intense story. It follows a a group of girls in a secluded boarding school as they begin to notice their classmates are disappearing one by one and decide to take matters into their own hands, only to discover the school is hiding unexpected secrets that will change the way ghey see things. The lighting and color palette used in this film were beautiful and helped create an eerie atmosphere. A really great horror/mystery film with a pretty sad ending.

Really like the cinematography and lighting in this, but man this film lost me the longer it went on. It has a eerie atmosphere and some good spookey visuals, but when the plot gets revealed it's just hmmm no I don't think so :-)

STORY AND THE SETTING GIVES ME ABSOLUTE CHILLS LOVE THIS BUT HM KIND OF PREDICTABLE
