The Swordsman is a film that cannot avoid the cliché of the tragic hero and frankly I didn't expect it, because before I started it, that cliché was completely evident.
Naturally, what follows would only work if is at least entertaining and the film tries what it has, although it goes without saying that there are a lot of bumps along the way.
Another negative point is that it feels cheap.
Usually in many films of this type, the atmosphere and the sets feel like a smooth part of the experience, in this case many of these feel incredibly artificial and do not add that feeling of a past time.
I thought it would be much better, but at least it was not a complete failure, just a regular flick.
