I thoroughly enjoyed this film. SBS may get quite a bit of stick for some of the international films they provide, but this film was honestly great. I really appreciated the structure of the story itself; the way the narrative flows condenses the 1 hour and 45 minute run-time into what felt like 40 minutes at most.
The characters are well written, and the performances from each actor were solid. Kristoffer Joner as “Kristian Eikjord” certainly led the way and was able to provide the pain, anguish and leadership required for the role.
The cinematography was truly beautiful and only increases my desire to travel to Norway, when safe to do so.
When reading more about the film, I’ve learned…
