A little 40 minute doc to remind you
A) Climate change is real
B) not only is Meryl Streep tops at acting, she also rocks narration.
C) don't fuck with a mother bear who lives for her cubs
Found myself enjoying the obscure McCartney jams on the soundtrack more than the film itself. One feels bad for these animals and their plights, but one feels worse to see those plights are used to further an agenda as opposed to any meaningful level of documentation.
Testing out my new 3D glasses.
Starving cannibalistic white bears look pretty good.
I wish they didn't do the IMAX thing of using tiny little frame for non-IMAX camera footage since it would look high def blown up at home.
Not very interesting. I hate listening to celebrity voices.

3D IMAX short form documentaries are one of my favorite things. Shorter than an hour so they're always just the good stuff, beautiful to look at with the best image and 3D depth available and they're genuinely interesting.
To the Arctic is pretty straight forward but with incredibly high production values and recognizable names attached for good measure. Meryl Streep narrates and the music is by Paul McCartney for starters. The subject matter is a bit of a bummer, showcasing the death of the arctic environment due to climate change, but the film is never all in on the whole "possible end of the world" scenario. It just wants you to be invested in the life of these animals and…
