this is the movie equivalent of the "how do you do fellow kids?" meme. literally every line is like "i was watching this woke obscure film called scream, you probably haven't even heard of it 😂 lol fam social media is so bae am i 💯?" and you can tell it's written by a grown ass man who has never said any of these words out loud and wouldn't know how to use them in a sentence at a spelling bee

Pretty entertaining movie even though I hated the main characters but it works for this one. First social media horror movie that I thought was decent. Kinda reminded me of Heathers a little. Not great but it is still entertaining. You can check it out on Hulu!
ok the character motivations for these girls would have been so much stronger & make more sense if they were in love with each other...let them be gay u cowards
Tragedy Girls blends 80’s slasher vibes with a post-Scream mentality.... creating a mean spirited romp threaded together by narcissistic social media trappings of the late 2010’s. It took me a while to get into it but there’s some good stuff in here... equal parts clever and repulsive, I liked this even more on revisit which surprised me since this kind of flick that moves into bleak outlook territory is sometimes a hit n miss for me, but this was a hit, especially that ending that “went there”
I gotta say that an actual realistic prom finale setting made me happy... taking place in a real gym with a few balloons, what looked like real high schoolers, and stringy star things hanging!!!…

A disappointing horror-comedy. Starring Alexandra Shipp and Brianna Hildebrand as Makayla and Sadie, high school besties obsessed with true crime, capture the town’s serial killer. While keeping him in captivity they decide to continue the murdering spree to grow followers for their blog. The acting was unbalanced in this. I enjoyed Shipp’s performance. Hildebrand was very stiff as heck. Jack Quaid was good and likable. It’s super tropey with teen drama and antics. At times it felt like a 90s comedy but the jokes hardly land. There were some creative kills, I’ll give it that. And I liked the practical effects. However, everything was too convenient for these girls, it was just a very uninteresting watch.
