Five Good Reasons Why You Should Watch 'Twenty-Four Eyes':
1. Miss Oishi. Miss Pebble—one of the greatest teachers in cinematic history.
2. Hiroshi Kusuda's cinematography. Those landscapes! Those perfectly framed landscapes! Such beauty. You can freeze-frame any moment and just hang it on the wall.
3. The score. Quite melancholic and haunting, with chorales that sound like ghostly echoes from days gone by.
4. The kids. *sigh*
5. The bike. That fucking bike.
1 teacher, 12 students, and 20 years in 2 hours. Twenty-Four Eyes is the saddest, most beautiful film I've ever seen. Essential viewing. (Prepare to cry buckets.)
