I miss Bruce Willis giving actual performances. I can’t remember the last time he played a character that wasn’t a grumpy tough guy that sleepily mutters all of his lines. Bruce Willis in Unbreakable is nuanced, fragile, soft-spoken, and actually giving a shit. It was good to see this version of Willis.
I still like this movie a lot even rewatching it after all these years. Shyamalan was making unique and interesting superhero movies way before it became a thing. The James Newton Howard score is amazing. I don't have much else to say, take the below as just a nitpick rant I wanted to get off my chest.
