Marvel bravely asks the question, “what if a tv show got progressively more boring with each new episode”
I relate to Wanda because I too desperately need therapy but would rather just live in my own silly little headcanon
I don’t think I’ll ever hate anything as much as I hate the phrase “Please Stand By”
How was the MCU able to sustain itself for so long without the presence of Kathryn Hahn
of all the recent studio "it's about trauma" bullshit this is imo the most noxious. and that's a HIGH bar to clear but like at least midsommar didn't feature its epic cluster b girlboss torturing and enslaving an entire town. also i think everyone who insisted on comparing this to the work of david lynch should b[REMOVED BY MODERATORS]
probably really interesting if you’re in middle school and just found out what existentialism is but outside of that this is a mostly lame and egotistical show that basically only exists to “prove” that the mcu can be wild and “different” but basically only achieves this by completely losing all identity and rarely feeling like it has any purpose. by the end of both episodes i was left incredibly unsatisfied as to where the show is heading and i’m left with so little information that it turns into this extremely irritating show where as soon as you think something is gonna start happening, nothing ends up happening. really don’t know if i’m gonna continue watching this. i would honestly prefer…
There is a lot to love about Wandavision. Unfortunately things that I didn't love kept getting introduced as the show progressed. I think the "villains" muddled everything. I loved Vision coming to terms with his existence while simultaneously trying to get Wanda to realize what she's done. I loved Wanda slowly realizing the horror she's wrought to bury her grief. I loved how their children complicated an already terrible mess. The focus should've been entirely on Wanda, Vision and their children; but of course Marvel isn't Marvel without "fighting cape shit". I'm sure someone out there will edit this show down to a superior version that focuses on the good (like they once did for The Hobbit trilogy), that'll be a good day.
