So much harder to watch now that Robin Williams is no longer with us. Tremendously moving, beautiful and underseen film that is still the closest one has ever come to my own spiritual beliefs and notions about the afterlife.
It’s truly a feeling you can’t put words to, seeing your own intricate faith, free from the dogmas and limitations of our world religions, captured on screen by a complete stranger. Or at least to a breathtaking and incredibly validating 95%.
This was crafted and envisioned by someone who isn’t a Christian, Hindu, Buddhist or otherwise, but a little bit of each. A person, or persons, of admirably vast open-mindedness.
In consequence, it may have rendered me less unique. A kindred spirit, near or far, is worth more than idiosyncrasy though…it is absolutely priceless.
