Leave it to director David Fincher to make a movie about Facebook an engaging cinematic experience. The Social Network is a triumphant work.
The casting was perfect, as Jesse Eisenberg leads in a phenomenal performance that perfectly balances his determined attitude and smart ass remarks. Andrew Garfield and Justin Timberlake are both great as supporting actors. The screenplay by Aaron Sorkin is one of the best of the century, dramatic and witty lines delivered by talented actors, elevating the believability.
I didn't expect the soundtrack/score to be as energetic as it was, perfectly accompanying every scene. Quick cut editing and stable cinematography is impeccable, thanks to focused direction from David Fincher.
This is a highly entertaining, fast moving, and riveting film from being a knock out in all areas of filmmaking. A perfect combination of excellent acting, perfect directing, and a stellar screenplay, The Social Network is a top tier drama, and one that will remain incredibly relevant for year so to come.
