THOR: RAGNAROK (2017) -
The whole Shakespeare but superhero's thing worked for the first two of these, it was well meaning and made sense but it sure was boring, and at times bad. Comedy has been called the new rock and roll, and "Thor: Ragnarok" freaking rocks. It's like feeling a movie more than watching one, a wholly rejuvenating and invigorating vibe of creative aggression and wise cracking ridiculousness, but that is rewarding, emotional and will no doubt be lasting. Smashes some guy's hammer, and smashes the already sky high expectations. Oh, and Korg is MVP.
Thank god for Takia Watiti, thank god we have him, thank god we have this spryly frenetic and barmy brilliant little film about alien gladiators, green rage monster's and Cate Blanchett being the best.
