Baran Caliskan’s review published on Letterboxd:
After the release of Endgame, is the comic book film fatigue finally kicking in ? Don’t ask me, because apparently I still get goosebumps from the Marvel Studios opening and the “in memoriam” joke that followed it had me in tears and I was hooked on to the film, ready to go on an adventure with the characters I know and love and the film gave me that and more.
Marvel has finally started to step up their villians and I’m soo glad they didn’t waste Gyllenhaal and even glad-er they didn’t waste my boy Mysterio.
What did bother me about the film was the plot convenience and the weak cgi in some parts that surprisingly took me out of the film, which I usually don’t complain about.
Anyway, it’s a great fun summer comic book film and you’ll probably watch it if you haven’t already so I won’t bother writing more for it.
