"It's the first day of school fellas."
Close Encounters of the Third Kind is a film that exist on a higher plane of cinematic existence. It has the most beautiful three act structure, and I smile just thinking about how well the film flows. We get sent on this journey, and it unfolds naturally, like any real journey would/should. It never holds your hand, or tells you how to interpret the events, and like the purest of pure cinema, the focus is on showing, not telling.
