Years ahead of the 80s fad of the late 00s and 10s, Donnie Darko is a great example of a new cult film that capitalizes on every under 40s favourite decade. For myself, I like it because it captures the 80s without forcing it down your throat. The time travel stuff is fine, but it really is only what allows for their to be an adventure of sorts, and I don't get too fussed about it. Apparently I gave this 4 stars last time I watched it, but it is definitely a 5.
