    Dune: Part Two

Moments like this come very rarely in a man's lifetime.

    Youtube Review (March 3rd 2024):

All the hype you've heard is true.
Dune 2 is among the most finely crafted blockbuster epics ever blessed upon us as audiences.
I've been sitting with my thoughts the whole day, trying to decide whether I should review this today or wait until I watch it again on Thursday to make up my full thoughts.
    I couldn't wait y'all.
    Some of you may…

  • Femme

    Powerful, evocative, unique.
Femme is a film I hadn't heard a single word about until tonight and it turned out to be quite the nice surprise.
The film is buzzing and humming at its own frequency. There's a beating pulse and a driving rhythm. The narrative is unconventional and unique, giving us morally complex characters that are unpredictable and operating in gray areas so far removed from anything stereotypical or basic, that you almost can't help but watch and applaud…

    The Sweet East

Not the guy giving his burned EDM mixtape lmaoooo.

I had no idea what to expect from The Sweet East.
The posters make it seem like some period piece, the logline is unclear, the stills from the actual film clash with the poster and the logline, the trailer is bogus. Nothing had any fung shui it seems.
Here I am, as the credits roll, having seen one of the strongest directorial debuts of the past year or so.

Just like shinny or beer league with the boys.
    Decent vibes.
I'd dangle snipe and celly all of these dudes though.
It's no "Goon" but it's better than "Goon 2"
Some funny moments, but no quoteworthy jokes, no real memorable characters, the filmmaking was basic but hey, at least the vibes were light.
Hockey movies never really get the love/respect they deserve but kudos to these dudes for trying.
I'm sure this was a lot of fun to be a part of though.

Sam Esmail's "Don't make a project where the ending undoes everything the narrative sets up and becomes a waste of your audiences time" Challenge (Level: Impossible)

Imagine any of the minor problems you had with Esmails writing or directing before, now imagine that amplified to a thousand without a producer to call him out on his crap. Mr. Robot wasn't good enough for this guy to keep getting to make these mid movies/stories. I think he gets excited about concepts…

Me after Episode 1: Wtf? Interesting way to simply waste and burn 30+ million dollars but hey, whatever.

Me after Episode 2: Oh Okay? That's kinda cool.

Me after Episode 4: I take back what I said after Episode 1 and I completely forgive them for the false advertising pre-release because... ninja paparazzi skateboard fight

    Me after Episode 8: Banger

So happy they went in this direction.
Loved the Simon Pegg and Nick Frost Cameo
    And Edgar Wright (Wrong) lol
    W for Netflix
