Keith Adams Jr.’s review published on Letterboxd:
So this is the movie that TikTok is trying to make popular and has gotten them “scared”? TikTok users have trash tastes in movies. Apparently based on true events, Michael Goi’s found footage thriller follows the case of a missing teenage girl and the best friend who’s looking to find out what happened to her. I watched a free mid-quality copy of this movie on YouTube because I sure as hell wasn’t going to pay to rent this mess. This is one horribly acted, terribly shot, clumsily edited, shoddily written wreck of a film. Yes, it’s disturbing but not the type of disturbing that makes you so terrified that you never want to watch it again. You never want to watch it again because it’s a trash movie with trash characters and an absolutely dark and dour tone that it makes you wish that some kind of levity happened. Megan Is Missing should not be trending, it should be lost and stay lost forever where no one can ever see it again.
