This is one of those film where I thought "I'm glad I watched, but I didn't get anything out of it." I probably will like it more in the future, but for now, I just think it's alright. Seeing a bunch of people from Twin Peaks in this movie was my only excitement and joy out of this film. Otherwise, cinematography is great, Laura Dern and Harry Dean Stanton are fantastic, aaaaaaaannnnnddddd I think that's it. Nic Cage is fine, I guess. Diane Ladd is fine, and Jack Nance has a fun monologue. Otherwise, I hated that this was a road movie about young love. I wasn't invested in it, and I thought the editing wasn't as sharp and I was hoping. Harry Dean Stanton tho, you have my heart. Although I still haven't seen Inland Empire and Lost Highway yet, this is probably my least favorite Lynch films that I've seen.
