I was having a very bad day and I decided to watch this film to forget all the miserable things that just keep on happening. And I guess it's one of the best decisions that I've made. Greta Gerwig's Lady Bird is a masterpiece, full of talented actresses and actors that didn't disappoint me in the slightest. This film gave me one hell of a roller coaster ride of emotions, feelings I didn't even know existed. It made me laugh so many times, I mean, that part when the nun goes
SIX INCHES FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!!
and of course Saoirse Ronan's
I was on top!! Who the fuck is on top their first time?!?!!!!
and of course it made me cry some more. So what more to say? This just made my 2017 fave films, so beautiful that it recognized the real meaning of friendship, love for the family and learning and appreciating all good things in life. And I literally lost it at the airport scene, UHH EXCUSE ME I NEED ANOTHER BOX OF TISSUE FOR MY TEARS AND FEELINGS!!!!
PS So after watching this, my friend asked me what was wrong and why I was crying and I just told her,
I'm just crying. Some people aren't built happy, you know?
