Zachary Marsh’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Nice Guys loses some steam in the third act and #KimBasinger's character is incredibly underdeveloped, but my god is this a fun movie. Not only does it provide some of the funniest moments I've seen in movies this year so far, the film also works extremely well as a darkly entertaining mystery noir film. Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe's chemistry was so goddamn strong that you'd think they were made for each other. Their performances on their own are both very strong and very funny. Gosling, in particular, delivers some of the strongest laughs in the film. This isn't as engrossing, funny, or clever as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, but Shane Black's screenplay and direction are just as strong as ever. Definitely go check this one out when it opens next week!
