Alex Billington’s review published on Letterboxd:
A portrait of a German artist is a bit showy & runs 3 hours, but I found it very moving/inspiring. Extensive story about how it's our lives that shape our creative expression, and we should fully embrace that. There's also a fantastic performance by Oliver Masucci as character named Professor Antonius van Verten, but it's obvious he is playing Joseph Beuys - one of my favorite German artists. And this performance and his interaction with the main character is vital to the story. It's more of a mainstream movie than an artsy indie flick, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this.
