Logan’s review published on Letterboxd:
In honor of the announcement of Peele’s next film Nope I decided to give this a rewatch! And yeah this movie still rocks. Now ultimately Parasite took the central themes of what Us tried to do and basically perfected it, but it’s still great nonetheless, the cinematography is great, the performances from everyone are fantastic and Peele’s writing/directing are still top notch and doesn’t drag the whole run time. Although the topic most discussed with this film really is the double edge sword that is Peele’s use of ambiguity within the film, as it works extremely well in making the tethered super fucking scary, but also makes some of the plot somewhat cloudy aside from the final twist.
Can’t wait to see what Peele does with Candyman tho!!!
