Starting at COOL CAT SAVES THE KIDS, I will attempt to get to Akira Kurosawa's SEVEN SAMURAI. The rule that I will be following for this challenge is that every film I watch has to be somehow connected to the film I watch before it.

To make it harder, however, I’m restricting it to similarities in either director or actors. To make it even HARDER, I can only include films I’ve never seen before.
