Klon’s review published on Letterboxd:
I used to hate Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, it makes explicit all the promises of the original, amping up the “red” humor (humor so black it’s red) and turning it into a cartoon and I didn’t like that. THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE IS SERIOUS BUSINESS, MAAAN! But, I was missing Tobe so much the other night that I gave it another shot. I hadn’t seen it in over 20 years and in that time we’ve had sequels, remakes, sequels and prequels to the remakes and Leatherface toys available at Target and I love them all. This movie deserves all the praise it gets, though, Tobe Hooper’s rattlesnake-eye-view camera tried to stretch the corners of the screen so far that he almost fit all of Texas in one frame, plus The Cramps are on the soundtrack.
