Cameron Mitchell, William Smith, and Ross Hagen are reason enough to want to watch this. It's been restored and looks pretty fucking great. If you like fire gags, guns, car chases, and Waco, TX, you're pretty much guaranteed to love it.

After posting this, I noticed that I had a previous review and, well, I'd seen it 6 years ago. Go figure! I said to Eric it looked familiar.

    Movie #1 of HoopTober Se7en

    This is pretty goddamn great.

Poor Scott Baio. He couldn't act his way out of a paper MAGA hat. Don Murray was putting on a clinic in this and all Baio could do is stand there looking stupid. Lance Kerwin deserved better.

Just now I thought, I should've just written "Wah, wah, waah" for my review.

    Jail Bait

Not only is this not a sexploitation movie but it contains some especially egregious blackface on not just one person but the entire orchestra. The scene doesn't even need to be there, either.

Pros: Kidman looked stunning. Gough is lovely, as always.

    Cons: Everything else.

  • Phantom of the Opera

    Phantom of the Opera

Family movie night with the kiddo. We're going through our 8-disc set of the Universal Monster movies. We're letting him pick what we what so he's going out of chronological order. He wants to save the "most famous" ones until last. We've got Dracula, Frankenstein, and Bride of Frankenstein left to go.

This was my first time watching this one. It's probably my least favorite of the Universal Monster films. As Eric said, "The Phantom to Opera ratio in this…

JFC. It's just Cosby in some weird kind of clown make-up sitting on a chair spouting all sorts of racist lines and stereotypes.

    The Great Chastity Experiment

Only worth it for me cos of a brief appearance by Ike Eisenmann.

  • Batman Returns

My favorite of all the BATMAN movies.

The Body Human: The Facts For Girls

Eric said, while watching this education film about girls and puberty with Marlo Thomas, "Don't be in the same room with her when they get to the vagina representation" and now The Vagina Representation is my new band name.

  • Drugs Are Like That

    Drugs Are Like That

That time they used LEGO to dissuade kids experimentation with drugs. Narrated by the most terrible Anita Bryant, no less.
