  • Time

ah so this is how you succeed in making a touching and real film centred on a single family over a couple decades! richard linklater wishes!

  • The Mole Agent

    The Mole Agent

doesnt feel like a documentary at all :o
and the interaction between all the people in the film is so human. very moving and real. yes it’s a documentary i know but still

  • Better Days

    Better Days

oh i see, so its depression time?

dont know whats more stressfull; the actual bullying plot or the depiction of the school system and the reality of contemporary adult life.

  • Collective

the subject matter is without a doubt important and engaging, but its not the best made documentary of the year. absolutely horrifying though, i was done after the worms(!),

read the synopsis for this film and tell me the genre isnt sci-fi/horror rather than documentary.

  • The White Tiger

    The White Tiger

Better than expected!! i don’t know why i wasn’t hype for this, but i got proven wrong? won’t change your life but will resound with you for a bit. it is a complex and progressive take on modern india and what it means for some to live in a “democracy”.

  • Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

woah i mean tiny me watching this when it first game out had no idea what was going on or why huh. i mean zero clue lol.

is it the greatest movie ever made? no.
is sacha baron cohen one of the most talented, fearless actors right now? im starting to think so.

  • My Octopus Teacher

    My Octopus Teacher

i thought it took about 20 minutes before this movie went off. that’s a shame bc it was really well-made in spite of that. i recommend watching on a lazy day, hungover maybe, and just enjoy the visuals. maybe just me, but the story didn’t fully GRIP me the way i felt was intended. i was more interested in his way of life and career and diving in general than this one octopus even though i have to admit i got more invested as the film went on.

  • Mank

take a look at the actors’ ages and tell me that makes sense, hollywood.

in other news mank is not a bad movie necessarily, but i also feel no need to rewatch or talk about it again

  • Pride

on the one hand this is the best movie ive ever seen because its gay and wonderful and educational and the cinematography is pretty great. on the other hand it’s feel too simple, too good, too catering.

And that is needed as well but y’a know i could handle a true biopic, you don’t need to dumb it down for me. but i like it i’ve been to the book store and i support.

  • Hustlers

you know i love a heist you know i love some pretty ladies and some sleezy men and payback time. I know this wasnt exactly that but i forgive them their moral standpoint.

and next i wanna see a movie about strippers dealing with all the yeast infections and irritation they undoubtedly get from shaving and wearing all those tight slash non existent outfits all the time. show me the real struggle.

  • The Crimson Pirate

    The Crimson Pirate

    burt lancaster is a cutie.
however this film is a bit long, towards the end some of the plot is just straight unnecessary tbh

  • Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

    Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

it’s still so dope. jack black i love u.
