One of Woody Allen's most underrated films. Full of hilarious moments and biting satire, with a great comic performance from Allen himself in the lead role. It's a "light" film, but so what - It's a funny, inspired one.

Good British WWI drama that goes deeper into the psychology of war than most other war films. The British actors are great, as always, and the characters they play are believable. Don't go in expecting an action film (it's a character-based drama), and you'll come out satisfied. Plus points for a brave, appropriately devastating ending.
A New York jeweler gambles with some large amounts of money - and possibly his own life. Wow - how refreshing to see something unusual, unpredictable and inspired these days! Sandler is amazing in the film, and the directors give the film an almost unbearable, unrelenting tension that makes you stick to the screen. Love the subtle hints at a supernatural force with the massive jewel at the center of the story; very unusual storytelling. Great film.
The story of Frank Sheeran, the man who may or may not have killed Jimmy Hoffa. Amazing film. My expectations were high, but this managed to meet them all. Scorsese, who basically invented the modern gangster film, gives the genre he created a kind eulogy with this introspective, melancholy film.
