I like movies a lot
Look my roommate works in construction, his house is home to company parties of many construction workers getting shitfaced. Some woke up on our front lawn the next day after passing out. And I have not heard a single one of them say "Penny for your thoughts". What the hell is wrong with this script
Pieces of a woman has an amazingly powerful first act that's breathtaking and edge of your seat tension and then turns the remaining 90 minutes…
A true sequel, improving on nearly every aspect with its last 20 minutes being pure amazing stunt after pure amazing stunt. Truly a crazy movie.
Improvements over the first Mad Max are instantly noticeable from the montage of back story at the beginning of the film. The world is fully realized and insane. It finally has a cohesive vision and it sticks to its established rules of the world. The side characters and everyone's story flows at a good pace and no scene feel unnecessary or oddly placed in the narrative. Really the only issue is Humungus, who is just an underdeveloped villain.
Pedro Pascal did way to good of a job in this awful terrible movie. He really put the right level of cheese and over the topness.
Everything else is awful. The CGI, the action scenes, the weird middle east subplot that doesn't actually come back about a guy "wanting his birthplace back from the savages" (Hmmm Gal Gadot is producing......hmmmmm), Gal Gadot's awful acting that has somehow gotten more wooden. Oh and the Hans Zimmer score which is insanely cliché…
Its like if the most beautiful person in the world jerked off in front of me for 90 minutes and occasionally said my mom's name. Pretentious mess of a film with characters who bluntly say character traits and flaws. A movie that so poorly ignores "Show dont tell" but still can't tell anything. Awful in almost every regard. Art is beautiful tho and has some of the most quality drawn scenes in all of anime
