Henry’s review published on Letterboxd:
Never been a huge fan of the franchise but always found it entertaining enough. This continues that trait with a couple of genuinely excellent stand out scenes, a lot of fluff, and frustrating and time consuming sideline quests. It now comes with added Marvel-style jokes too, for better or worse.
It's enjoyable for the most part with Adam Driver being the stand out once again (Kylo Ren really is a cool character and hell yes, I'd probably join the dark side as a result), though Hamill is pretty damn good as well. Ultimately the cast is too big and the plot a little thin for a two and a half hour movie; it's solid while it's on but I have no desire to see it again any time soon... Aside for those aforementioned scenes, which I'll watch in a couple of years on YouTube when I'm bored.
