Burning ★★★★

Could spend an entire review talking about the inner battle in my brain over my initial reading of the film as a power struggle between storytellers vs. what I see as a different and deeper tragedy in that final scene, or how I have difficulty reconciling either of those readings (coupled with a fiendishly well-paced and tense second half) with how Haemi is written and her place in the narrative, but mostly wanna take this space to say how Steven Yeun in this movie can condescendingly humblebrag to me, take my possessions, and set me on fire any day
