Talk about a life work, The Report (or actually a summary of it) is nearly that as it comprehends all relevant CIA information regarding the torture interrogation techniques to gain intelligence.
Written and directed by Scott Burns, The Report plays out as expected as any other political drama thriller. Dan Jones, perfectly portrayed by Driver, is allowed to assemble a team to stitch all pieces together, but as pressure grows and his team numbers reduce, he's doing the job nearly all by himself. Dialogue is awesome, screenplay stylish, but be prepared and awake as abbreviations time shifts fly by. Call me stupid and non American, but I had some difficulties from time to time who's who and on which side he/she's on.
It surely is well made, and definitely worth a watch, but it lacks some extra spark to make it truly memorable.
