Does anybody else get the feeling that we are supposed to hate Tom Cruise for being a total nut case but for some reason we can’t help but just nod and smile and go along with everything he does like we are stuck in a matrix-like framework where we are the Stepford wives and he is the perfect husband? Or would he be the Stepford wife? I don’t know. I never saw…

Fantastic follow up, semi-sequel to Being John Malkovich. I appreciate a movie that isn’t afraid to admit that sometimes one Nic Cage isn’t enough. Other movies could benefit from two Nic Cages. Most people will go their entire lives without experiencing this delightful charmer. Don’t be one of those people.

The quintessential coming-of-age film.  Reiner weaves together a safe and innocent journey through the absurd, the nostalgic, and the sentimental, only to shatter that beauty and false sense of security by the end of the journey. Everyone is at the top of their game. Even Corey Feldman.

River Phoenix was one in a million.
