Underrated, underseen horror movies. A mixture of women-directed horror, house of psychotic women, MURDERDRONE, slasher sequels, goofiness and stupidity, experimental films, lesser-seen Hammer horrors, hidden gems, and movies you will be baffled that I like.

Collectively or corporately produced lists tend to favor the same films we've all seen. It's fun to revisit the classics, but there's such a depth and breadth to film in general that it always feels like a missed opportunity when these shows, websites, or magazines just regurgitate The Shining and The Exorcist at us - or worse, engage in what seems like product placement for contributors to the series or friends of the producer.

I want a list of deep cuts from horror aficionados. If I were asked to contribute to such a list, this is what I would submit: films with either less than 10K views or lower than a 2.5 average rating, but which I rate more highly and think more people should see and enjoy.

By no means is this perfect. By no means is this a definitive canon. It's just a list of things worth digging for and giving a chance.
