The Whole Town's Talking

I don't associate John Ford with screwball comedies but "The Whole Town's Talking" showcases him in fine form with a tale of mistaken identity. As a fan of Edward G. Robinson in both his famous menacing gangster roles and where he plays a much more mild mannered ordinary guy like in Fritz Lang's "Scarlet Street", this movie gives the unique chance to see both persona's play off each other. Caught it on TCM.
