john wick does not fuck around. not a single moment is wasted in its hour and forty minute runtime, it's pure adrenaline and action. my problem with most modern day action films in that they're shoved with way too much and wind up being way too complicated, and this film is a big fuck you to that trope. that plot is simple and straightforward with a heart at the center, and its perfect that way. on top of that, the cinematography was absolutely STUNNING, the score was great, and the fight scenes were so well edited. THAT scene in the club is going down as one of my favorite action scenes of all time. loved this way more than i thought i would, can't wait to check out the second one and hopefully see the third in theaters!
