the list abides by a more personal criteria of cosmic horror. more like an existential dread horror vibe really.
note: there's some obvious cosmic horror films that i just didnt care to put on because they're not good or inferior remakes (or inferior originals) or some other reason (eg. the og blob, or cabin in the woods).
