    This is one of those movies that leaves you thinking for long after your viewing of it. An incredibly subtle mystery with an out-of-nowhere ending that I believe, and slight spoilers here, drew a lot from the ending of A Brighter Summer Day. I can definitively say i'm on the Chang-dong Lee train, now.

    Like Hereditary, Midsommar shares a veneer of false greatness that is both grating and arrogant. Unlike Hereditary, however, there is no entertainment to be found nor really anything to appreciate.
