• Galaxy Quest

    Galaxy Quest

A very funny movie that still gives you the thrill of feeling like you are actually in space. The same compliment cannot even be given to most actual Star Trek films, which is why I’ve heard more than a few times that this is “the best Star Trek movie.” I don’t know if that is fair to say, but I’d personally much rather watch this over most any actual Trek-lore.

Good parody is pretty impossible to find in feature length…

  • The Book of Henry

    The Book of Henry

Watched ‘The Book of Henry’ on September 11th

  • The Master

    The Master

So incredibly *funny* and ~tender~. Maybe one of my favorites!

At the very least, if the A.F.I. was the G.A.B.E., “pig fuck!” would be #7 on the top 100 movie quotes of all time

  • After Hours

    After Hours

Was forty minutes into The Master, watching it on a laptop in my room. Ate too much chicken in there and it made me claustrophobic so I came out to finish The Master in the living room. Demi had the DVD menu up for “After Hours” and asked if I’d like to watch “After Hours”. Demi was sewing pants and was going to watch a movie while he sewed pants. I said “I was going to ask if you wanted…

  • I'm Thinking of Ending Things

    I'm Thinking of Ending Things

I gobble up visiting your significant other’s parents house too early as an existentially dreadful out-of-body experience. That is funny and true! Nothing more disorienting than to feel not home in what is clearly — a home (and potentially your second!) Never imagined a psych horror comedy movie about that specific feeling so that was fun and funny. Some of my exes dads had pool tables & exercise bikes in the basement that made me horribly sad for reasons I can’t really relate…

  • Tenet

When you go into the Tenet 5000, everything is different. Up is Down and Shrek is Donkey. My favorite movie character of all time is “The Protaganist” from Tenet.

We rented a Toyota Tacoma from LAX to watch this in the bed of a truck at a drive-in in San Diego, California.

  • Being John Malkovich

    Being John Malkovich

hits the nail on the head, good-movie-wise!

  • North by Northwest

    North by Northwest

Fun and funny and cool movie TBH

Forgot about that last moment when they jump cut from the cliff to the train. Some might call that — legendary, and fun and funny and cool!

  • Funny Games

    Funny Games

all of you saying “Actually, this is a critique of media violence and our complicity in— “ ya okay, show this to Mister Rogers and ask em if he thinks Haneke is on his side!

  • Possession

A wholly original wild goofy weird ass movie unlike anything I’ve ever or ever will see but also just uses the theme from The Godfather. Seems like Godfather was a pretty big movie at the time to just use Godfather song. Should’ve doubled down and used The Force Theme when da green eyed conehead stares at the hot French Mama’s boy! Shoulda woulda coulda...
Imagine if in Hereditary they played “The Council of Elrond” every once in a while. That would be sick.

Anyway I kid I kid this movie is sick

  • The Man with Two Brains

    The Man with Two Brains

Funny sequence where he licks his hands and uses them as suction cups. It’s weird as hell and I always like Steve Martin playing more of a straight man. But the main conceit is loudly misogynist and very much most of it is expired. Just so you know!

  • The Goonies

    The Goonies

This movie is definitely for babies, but I saw it at the drive in which was the right first experience. Not even at a old movie house with old light fixtures, it has to be at the drive in and it’s kinda dim and I can talk during it and I am eating a Popeyes hot sandwich.
