As a life long fan of horror movies, I can tell you this one sucks. The script is awful and no amount of gore or fancy camera work will change that fact. This is another movie (his SECOND) that will be praised, not because it's good, but because of a twist that some people will find so shocking (even though it's pointed out in the first half hour) they'll just ignore the fact that the rest of the movie is terrible.
This movie is fine. It’s certainly not the worst in the DCEU and it’s certainly not the best. Performances are fine. Action scenes are cool. The villains actually aren’t really villains at all. Kristen Wiig is great though.
Ultimately, it ranks somewhere in the middle of the DCEU films. If you love it, love it. If you hate it, well that seems extreme to be honest.

This one is kinda frustrating. The two lead performances from Rupert Grint and Robert Sheehan are rather exceptional. The problem is that the movie feels like it stops short.
