Annette

Annette ★★★

Annette reminds me of Charlie Kaufman's Synecdoche, New York. The type of movie will give you a another look at life. I don't know, I know there are pretty small similaritues between the two movies, I just find them similar.

Anyways, the movie was waaaay longer thsn I expected it to be. I don't like the part of the conductor, it felt like he was just there to pad the runtime. And his goals were kind of weak. The movie is still good though, I just wish that it was stronger. The first half was good. Ann and Henry's relationship were good.

The music is surprisingly good, unlike with other musicals, it tones well with their emotions. Because in most musicals, when a dialogues were sung, it felt like the music and the harmony of the lyrics don't fit. But in this movie, it fits well.

Anyways, I wish I like the movie as other people. It is still good, but not enough for me.
