    Toy Story 3

    ★★★★½

I liked “Toy Story 3” and the transition of the toys to a new home. A long-gap sequel done right, that uses its actual real-time jump well (“Finding Dory” and “Incredibles 2” should’ve taken note). My main complaint at the time was that it feels redundant. “Toy Story 2” covers the same themes in a more resonant way. Nevertheless, the progression of 3D animation from “Toy Story” to “Toy Story 3” is impressive.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Because it seemed like the time and I’m apparently a masochist, I revisited “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” in its three-hour Ultimate Edition format.¹ It still doesn’t work as a movie, but it’s definitely the only version of this movie that should’ve existed. It does have some genuinely-emotional scenes and it is mostly a fun watch, but it definitely doesn’t resonate nearly as much as “Finding Nemo.”¹ Marlin and Nemo barely contributed to the plot, at all. And the climactic sequence with the…

    Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

    ★★½

Phenomenal and outstanding! Nothing like this I’ve seen—and on the big screen, no less. Almost makes me want to pursue a career in art again watching. I admire its visuals and impact on cinema so, very much. If my rating were based solely on enjoyment, it would be ★★★★☆.
